WEAR PROTECTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils are specially formulated with high levels of zinc and phosphorous for superior protection of cam lobes and other high pressure components. In fact, AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils contain more zinc and phosphorous than other popular motorcycle oils (see graph). AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils leave a wear scar up to 40 percent smaller than the scars left by other popular brands in the ATM D4172 Four-Ball Wear Test.
Some motorcycle and ATV transmissions and engines share an oil sump, so the engine oil also provides wear protection to the transmission gears. AMSOIL offers superior wear protection to transmission gears, which are often subject to high surface pressure and rotation speed. It also promotes proper wet clutch performance.
FRICTION MODIFIER FREE
AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils contain no friction modifiers, making them ideal for motorcycle and ATV engines. The friction modifier free formulation of AMSOIL ensures dependable starting, smooth running, good fuel efficiency, desirable stall speeds and clutch compatibility.
PERFORMANCE FORMULATED
AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils contain a robust dispersant/detergent package, making them ideal for use in high-stress motorcycle engines. The dispersant/detergent additive packages allow them to stay serviceable longer than other oils.
TEMPERATURE AND PERFORMANCE
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic Motorcycle Oils provide superior performance. Their outstanding low temperature fluidity ensures easy cranking, dependable starting and fast post-startup protection. The superior high-temperature protection ensures the formation of a clean, protective film of oil between working parts during high-temperature, high-stress operations.
High-temperature operations often lead to the thermal degradation and oxidation of conventional oils, which leads to the formation of deposits, sludge and varnish. AMSOIL withstands thermal degradation and oxidation at higher temperatures than conventional oils do, ensuring clean, dependable performance in high-stress, high-temperature operations. Especially in air-cooled engines.
APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic Motorcycle Oils may be used in all four-cycle air- and liquid-cooled gasoline motorcycle engines requiring any of the following specifications:
API SH, SG, CF, JASO MA
In general, Japanese motorcycles use 10W-40 (AMF) while US and European motorcycles use 20W-50 (AMV). Check your owner's manual.
SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic Motorcycle Oils (AMF and AMV) are formulated for extended drain intervals. Change AMF and AMV at three times the engines manufacturer's recommended drain interval or one year, whichever comes first.
If a vehicle is equipped with an AMSOIL Oil Filter, the filter should be changed at 12,500-mile or six-month intervals. (whichever comes first) in gasoline engines. Non-AMSOIL oil filters should be changed at the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change interval.

Oil is the life blood of your motorcycle engine. Your oil filtration system keeps that life blood flowing and your ride on the road.
For nearly 30 years, AMSOIL INC. has offered state-of-the-art products Dealers can sell with pride. In that time, the company’s reputation has grown, along with its product line.
Now, AMSOIL has developed a full line of oil filters specifically designed for motorcycles and ATVs.
The SuperDuty Motorcycle Oil Filters (SMF) reflect the newest technological advances in the quest to meet the unique demands of today’s high-stress motorcycle engines.
The three main functions of any oil filter are flow, life and efficiency.
While each of those functions is vital individually, there’s more to it.
“Remember, it’s more than just flow. It’s more than just efficiency. It’s more than just life,” said Dave Anderson, AMSOIL Technical Sales Director. “They all have to perform in unison. A filter is only as good as its weakest link.”
Typically, oil filters are comprised of cellulose, or paper, synthetic fibers, glass fibers, or a combination of media.
“All of these fibers have a different set of characteristics to them,” Anderson said.
Each provides different levels of filtration of the damaging dirt and dust particles that shorten the life of a motorcycle engine.
Flow is gained through a media that is open and free, while efficiency is gained through media that is closed and difficult to penetrate. The flow versus efficiency ” compromise within the filtration system is the greatest demand on an oil filter’s performance.
“Through our testing, we have found the best for motorcycles, and automobiles, is a blend of the three media – synthetic, cellulose and glass,” Anderson said.. “That gives the best overall performance. You have to look at overall performance. How they do all the tasks that you want them to do. A prudent consumer must consider the total package.”
AMSOIL SuperDuty Motorcycle Oil Filters provide the greatest possible balance of that “total package” to provide the ultimate in overall filtration performance.

The filters are available in black finish, with several models also available in chrome. The chrome models have a C designation.
They have a heavy-duty case of drawn steel. The case is double-crimped at the base with rolled-under seaming to withstand extreme pressure surges and road shocks.
AMSOIL SMF are available in spin-on and cartridge types.
The new G-194 Automotive Filter and Cross- Reference Guide lists the correct filter for each motor- cycle and ATV. A separate Motorcycle and ATV Filter Cross Reference Guide, G-1768, at $4.50 U.S., also is newly available for your convenience.
These quality full-flow filters are designed to allow extended filter change intervals.
AMSOIL INC. recommends the following guidelines. When using an AMSOIL SMF with conventional oil, change the filter at the manufacturer ’s recommendation. When using an AMSOIL SMF with AMSOIL Motor Oil, change the filter at twice the manufacturer ’s recommendation or six months.
| Formulated for Fade-Free Dampening and Smooth Rebounds in High Performance Applications Product Codes: STL, STM

AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid is formulated for maximum stability and high performance. High quality synthetic basestocks and high viscosity indices provide unparalleled shear stability. AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid controls friction and heat, reduces wear and scuffing and prevents fade more effective than conventional fluids can. AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid has been tested in the lab and against the competition and proven to be of the highest quality at a wide range of temperatures and applications.
With AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid, viscosity remains constant and aeration and foam are greatly reduced, significantly limiting shock fade and inconsistent dampening. AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid (STL & STM) is formulated for fade-free dampening and smooth rebounds in many racing and recreational applications, reducing rider fatigue and enabling the driver to ride longer and harder while keeping focused on the terrain ahead.
Constant friction in a shock body decreases suspension performance while causing scuffing and wear on the inner walls. AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid contains friction modifiers to reduce frictional energy loss and heat buildup. Anti-wear agents protect against premature scuffing and wear, while maintaining proper suspension absorption.
AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid features high pour and flash points, maintaining its ability to provide superior protection in both high and low temperature extremes. It is highly resistant to volatility, avoiding breakdown and resisting the buildup of sludge and deposits.
AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluid includes seal conditioners, keeping seals soft and pliable and extending their service life.

Two different formulations are available: The lightweight grade (STL) is recommended, but not limited to, Showa, Kayaba, Bilstein, RydeFX, Penske, WP forks, RACETECH (US1) and Custom Axis suspension systems that demand quick rebounds under extreme hot and cold weather applications, while the medium grade (STM) can be used in Ohlin, FOX, RACETECH (US2), Koni, WP shocks and Harley-Davidson forks that recommend type "E" or "B" fork oils, as well as other applications that require more dampening and slower rebounds. Refer to the owner's manual for individual capacities, proper disassembly and further recommendations. Owner's manuals may refer to weights when recommending suspension oil. These weight numbers are arbitrary because no industry standard exists for classifying suspension oil. The numbers can range from 2.5 to 30, depending on the manufacturer. AMSOIL STL correlates closely to a 5 weight, while AMSOIL STM is close to a 10 weight.
AMSOIL STL and STM can be mixed together based on individual requirements and applications, and they are compatible with most other suspension fluids.
AMSOIL Shock Therapy Suspension Fluids are available in quarts and 5-gallon pails.
